1. Cookies, local storage, and UK GDPR
Cookies are small files placed on a device. Browser local storage is a similar technology that keeps preferences in your browser. In accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we request consent before non-essential technologies run. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics.
2. Current storage inventory
Records whether you chose essential-only, preferences, or anonymous performance measurement, plus the date and policy version. It remains until browser data is cleared.
Remembers whether you enabled enhanced reading spacing. It stays on your device until you disable it or clear browser data.
When you choose “Allow performance”, the browser sends LCP, INP and CLS values with the page path and broad device class. The metric record does not include an email, advertising identifier or full user agent.
The AI helpbot does not store its conversation in cookies or browser storage — conversations are instead retained server-side, isolated from this site's own systems, for a limited period described in our privacy notice. Server security logs may contain an IP address and request details; these are also described there.
3. Change your choice
Under UK data protection laws, you have the right to withdraw consent at any time. Use the “Cookie settings” link in the footer to modify your preferences. You can also clear site data in your browser. Blocking essential storage may cause your privacy or accessibility choice to reset.
4. Changes and contact
